This duvet is made of 100% eiderdown encased in a silk cover, providing pleasant warmth and lightness. Only the very best Icelandic eiderdown from free-range eider ducks is carefully hand-selected for this high-quality filling. The down is then disinfected in a steam bath and further processed. The luxurious, champagne-colored silk cover ensures particularly fast moisture wicking and excellent air circulation. The duvet made of pure eiderdown offers incomparable, luxurious, replenishing sleep. This duvet is individually and carefully hand-crafted in Switzerland. Swiss Made.

Cover

• 100% silk, particularly high-quality satin made of luxurious mulberry silk. Color: champagne. The especially high-quality batiste was chosen in line with the latest findings in sleep research. The weave and coating ensure particularly fast moisture-wicking capabilities and excellent air circulation. The luxurious feel guarantees an incomparably restful night’s sleep.

Eiderdown

• Our eiderdown covers and pillows are natural masterpieces and a shining example of the sustainability of Schlossberg's premium bedding products. The down, harvested from Icelandic eider ducks under the strongest natural preservation protection, are collected by hand with great care, and only from abandoned nests. The eiderdown harvest is one of Iceland's oldest agricultural activities and surely one of its most refined ones. The greatest luxury that can be found in a duvet. These same effects have yet to be attained by any high-tech contents. Ideal for subtle heat retention and for reducing moisture on the body. The duvet is very lightweight and rests lightly atop you. 1000 down feathers weigh only 1 gram! Incomparable sleep comfort, suitable even for problem sleepers. Not suitable for those who sweat excessively.

What is the warmth index?

This classification – the warmth index – considers and grades on two specific parameters, which determine the properties of a duvet.

• The warmth retention capacity of the duvet

• The moisture absorption of the duvet

Both parameters together allow the duvets to be classified into four categories. We have listed the details of the warmth index for every duvet.

For sleepers with very low warmth requirements and/or sleepers in bedrooms with high levels of heating. Suitable for waterbeds.
For sleepers with low warmth requirements and/ or for sleepers in heated bedrooms. Suitable for waterbeds.
For sleepers with average warmth requirements and / or for sleepers in normally-heated bedrooms with low levels of heating.
For sleepers with high warmth requirements and / or for sleepers in cool bedrooms.
Double duvet, light single duvet for the summer, heavy single duvet for spring/autumn and, buttoned together, suitable for the winter.
